Friends Forever, RED Campers!

Believe me when I say that RED Camp 4 has been an absolutely amazing and unforgettable journey for us, the student leaders and staff of NP. Believe me also, when I say that you guys have been the most crazy, loud, energetic and almost scary bunch of RED Campers we've ever had!

You've all come a long way, haven't you? This blog has been up here since your mugging days for the dreadful exams, it has records of our preparation for the camp, pictures and rants from the 3 days of camp itself, not forgetting the outings all of the tribes had after that, and then the well wishes for your release of results, and now... in this likely last post here ever... we just once again, want to wish each and every one of you precious people ALL THE VERY BEST FOR YOUR POSTING.

The posting results will be out on Tuesday, and I really do hope that you will guys will be happy wherever you are posted to. Work very very hard, and the hardworking will be duly rewarded! :)

We would also like to thank you all for your enthusiastic participation thus far... all we really hope for is that you guys enjoyed yourselves, and that you got to make more friends through the camp! :)

The tribe leaders have all got something to say to all of you... here goes!

From the APACHE TRIBE LEADERS Marvin, Junwei and Kimberly...

"Apache Oi! You guys will always be the best! Thank you all for the wonderful and fun times spent together... Let's keep in contact!! :)"

From the CENTURION TRIBE LEADERS Clarence, Candy and Joycelyn...

"ALMIGHTY! Centurions, the true-blue almighty warriors, love you all! Thanks for everything, you guys made RED Camp 4 so much more memorale... we miss you!"

From the NINJA TRIBE LEADERS Cheryl, Huimei and Jinhui...

Cheryl: Ninjas, give me one happy clap! YATAA!
Huimei: It's been a wonderful experience interacting with all you guys! :)
Jin Hui: I truly enjoyed the journey with you guys during RC4 & all e best for your future endeavours!

From the SPARTAN TRIBE LEADERS Catherine, Timo and Anisa...

"A very big thanks and we had a wonderful memorable day with you guys. We really thank all those who attended RED CAMP and made it a big blast. We would like to wish you all the very best in whatever you do and hope to see you guys in NP! Love you spartans!"

From the VIKING TRIBE LEADERS Joyce (myself!), Eugenie and Hannah...

"If we could do it now, we'd yell 3 cheers for all Viking campers now at the top of our voices, trust us! Vikings would never have been complete and fun without you all. Thank you all for coming, and we hope you'll all find success and happiness in everything that you do, keep in touch ok! ;)"

Thank you, RED Campers... we hope you remember us... and WE WILL BE BACK DURING RED CAMP 5, so spread the RED Camp legacy to your juniors, how could we let them miss out on the fun, right? Heh...

Keep tagging on the board here alright, we will not totally die... We'll stay keep in touch on the board! :)

LOTS OF LOVE,
RED CAMP COMMITTEE

And Henceforth...

Hello there!

Nerve-wrecking day today, wasn't it? :) I can totally understand! Well, I really hope you guys are happy with your results!

Over the next few days, you might find yourselves mulling over where you should head next, which institutions you should go to... And if you're like me, you might even be weighing out all the pros and cons of each possibility, which is a MAJOR headache!

For some of you who are already clear of where you want to go, what you want to do, good for you! It's really great that you are sure of your goals at this point. Saves yourselve from a lot of trouble too, eh? :)

For those of you who are still rather clueless, I'd think that the most important thing to bear in mind (as cliche as it sounds) is to follow your heart and your interests. Through experience, I strongly believe that when you are really passionate and have genuine interest in what you are doing, then you can excel naturally.

With that, I really wish you guys ALL THE VERY BEST for your posting results, and I am crossing my fingers that you guys will get to do what you want! Remember, choose for youself, not for others! :)

THE DAY IS TOMORROW!

Dearest RED Campers!

I'm excited and nervous and anxius for you all at the same time! Tomorrow will be your results day... it's like judgement day or something isn't it?

I remember when I was taking my O Level results, I used to think that the day seemed like the day where the final verdict was to be read out in a court case. Haha! But my dears, allow me to dispense a few words of advise, from the "old bird". Here goes...

Don't fret! Relax!
You know, most of the time your results are really not as bad as you think they will be. It's just human nature to think the worse of everything. I thought I'd be too ashamed to come home after getting the "verdict", but the truth of the matter was that it wasn't that bad! And it wasn't just me, it was the same with a lot of my friends, and I am sure for many other students as well!

Just go and have plenty of rest tonight... and don't allow yourself to think so much until tomorrow. All I can say is really, ALL THE VERY VERY BEST! You know you've worked very hard and the knowledge that you've gained is not necessarily directly reflected in your results. What I'm trying to say is...

Sometimes, your results may not be as impressive as others, but that does not mean that you are academically less inclined than him / her. Remember, it's not always the results that matter, but the PROCESS of which you went through - that's where you know you really learned a lot!

If you should have any queries for courses that are being offered in NP, please do be reminded that we will be on MSN from 8pm to 10pm to answer your queries!

It's Not The End!

Hey there people!

Hope you guys enjoyed the RED Camp Special programme. I must say it was rather emotional for me even towards the end because we all knew that it would be difficult to organise another event after you guys get your results and make your decisions to go to different institutions of study.

So we wanted to make it as memorable as possible... The RED Camp Speical Programme people out in a lot of effort and time into planning the event, so did the skit people spend a lot of time pratising the skit over and over again just to perfect it. We all hope it was good for you!
Meanwhile, remember we said that we will be posting up pictures of the event taken on this blog? Well, here it is!

RED CAMP SPECIAL PROGRAMME!

Mobbing all over NP!

Wouldn't you agree with me that the skit was SUPERB?!

We've had a BLAST over the past 3 months or so with you guys, and we really hpe to keep in contact even though you would be going seperate ways after getting your results this Thursday. Here's wishing you all the best, and may we all meet again! (Hey, who said we can't organise mini gatherings again, right? ;) )

All the best for your results, and here's a toast to all you fun loving guys out there we'll ever forget! Cheers!

MOBBERS@NP OPEN HOUSE!

The choreography of our RED Camp Mass Dance happened around November last year, and the first people who were taught were none other than the RED Camp planning committee, then the Student Leaders, then you lovely RED Campers, and then during NP Mobbers@Orchard, we taught the dance to the public, and NOW...

WE BRING 'ALL FOR ONE' to
NP Open House 2008!

Yesterday was the day we met up with the student delegates from each of our academic schools to teach them to the RED Camp Mass Dance... so that during Open House they will be rocking it with us!

Yes, you heard me right. We will be dancing around NP at different times of all three days of Open House! Student Leaders and Student Delegates altogether, and if you happen to see us around... COME AND JOIN US! :D

Here are some pictures courtesy of Matthew the 1.5...

Yes, it's in just SIX Days' time!
Your dearest SLs
Paying their best attention
Again, we drew the crowds ;p

Keep this space open for latest updates on the timings and venues of our Mobbers@NP Open House stint!

NP MOBBERS@ORCHARD

THANK YOU RED CAMPERS AND STUDENT LEADERS ALIKE WHO WERE THERE TO ROCK THE ROCK THE STREETS OF ORCHARD!
CRAZY, CRAZY TIME WE HAD! :D

The day started with the Student Leaders meeting as early as 10am at the school Atrium to go through the Mass Dance once more, before we bring NP to the streets!

Warming up right at the hearts of NP's Atrium...

The Ninjas' power swing... Yatahh!
Spartans! What is your profession? "Ahwoo!"

Only a bushfire's missing for the Apaches The Almighty Centurions bringing sexyback!
Vikings are horny, yet again, woo!
That's a narcissistic Centurion for you. Lol!
And then when we were all set, we made our way to...

Ngee Ann City!

Weeeeeee!

The setting up...

The camwhoring and running around getting people to join us!

Orchard HERE WE COME!

Soon after, because the crowd couldn't wait...

We presented our very own Percussion, Barracudas... Who never fails get the crowd all hyped up!

Soon after... it was the SLs and campers' turn to take the stage!
And boy, it was hell of a great time!

As you can see! :D
Even the passer-bys couldn't resist dancing with us!

But then........

We started hearing rumbles of thunder from a distance...

And sure enough it started raining...

So then we moved on to Plaza Singapura! And the weather really wasn't in our favour...

But that's not a problem at all, because...

We found our own sources of entertainment!

LIVE Singing Performances!

Battle of the SEXES.
Nope, I don't see what you see. Haha!
Left, right, left, right... DARN! Left or right?!?!
Look at their gleeful faces!

And these Apaches... I honestly don't know what they're doing... I still don't know...
Oh well, they are Apaches!
And Apaches are just really really eccentric. haha!

Then the Barracudas made another SMASHING appearance!

Just look at the crowd they drew!

They got us really high too!

Sorry, not just us, but also the RANDOM ONLOOKER from the street!

Woo! The more the merrier!

And since everyone was so high, we decided to do something insane despite the slight drizzle...

We brought All For One right outside PS. No sound systems, no problem! Because we have our Barracudas to back us up!
There you have it, no rehearsals, only insanity and fun people needed to make it such a great stint!

And the final briefing...

Dearest RED Campers, thank you for being part of the insane event!

With lots of love, from

The Horny Vikings
The Pokemon Apaches
The Sexy Centurions The Inseperable Spartans
and the Noisy Ninjas!
If you must ask, it was a rainy day. But it was an unforgettable rainy day! ;)

Thanks to Jeremy from Centurion for all these wonderful pictures! You can grab more from http://picasaweb.google.com/jeremyterabyte/NPMobbersOrchard
